The Rio New Years 2007 three-day event befitting
Dreams Can Be Foundation held in the magical city of Rio de Janeiro was hailed
as a huge success, receiving strong coverage and positive press.
Beginning with Yemanjá Music Project’s third year association
with the Mercadão de Madureira and its return to the beautiful Copacabana
Beach, over 1000 VIPs, including international and local celebrities danced
to the rhythms of Yemanja Music Projects invited performing artists, international
Dj’s Erick Paredes and Dudu Dub, Agape featuring Nadia Harris, Orquestra
Alabe Funfun, Filhos de Gandi, Raices Africanas among them an incredible performance
by Companhia Étnica directed by Carmen Luz.
Our New Years Party held at Claude de Amaral’s
triplex penthouse, featured as the most spectacular venue for New Years was
the talk of the town over 300 of the most beautiful international guest danced
their way into 2007. DJ Erick Paredes, Dudu dub and Agape’s Nadia Harris
left an incredible imprint in Rio’s music scene. Champagne and Cachaça
and all other spirits flowed the night through.
