Rio de Janeiro grew up to the sides of the bay, the Marvelous City. Fantasy name to a perfect combination of sea, earth, climate and people. A nice mixture of the Indian, White and Black cultures, fermented in a magnificent natural scenery.
Very few cities in the world are able to concentrate, in a very cool way, all the little icons that makes life a party: beach, sun, samba, frozen beer, tasteful food, football, beautiful people, streets with light curves that lead to little tropical forests.
Rio de Janeiro is an intense modernity, and it’s also a quotidian meeting with the past. The baroque art found in churches and monasteries, the deco art found in very preserved residential facades, the modernist architecture from 1950’s: all of these elements make Rio a witness of its own history.

People from all social classes, side by side, in peace, in manifestations that mix magic and devotion, devotees make offerings to Iemanjá, the African Goddess of the Waters.
One of the largest fireworks in the world with about 15-minute duration, illuminates the beauty of Copacabana Beach in various colors. Two million people united by the incomparable spirit of Rio greet each other, even if they are strangers, and walk in the direction of the shore to make their offerings. Each one in their own private ritual.

Displaying the very essence of Brazil's fun loving spirit, New Year's celebrations are spectacular demonstrations of the parties for which the country is famous. Rio is the place to be for New Year's Eve as the city flocks to Copacabana Beach for the world's most spectacular fireworks display.
Every December 31st , 2.5 million people gather at Copacabana Beach to celebrate New Year's in Rio de Janeiro There are four kilometers of fireworks exploding in the sky or in the luminous reams on hotel façades and from different barges in the sea. The people, mostly dressed in white, coming from the four corners of the world, bid farewell to the year that is ending and toast the arrival of the new year.

The Rio New Years 2007 three-day event befitting Dreams Can Be Foundation held in the magical city of Rio de Janeiro was hailed as a huge success, receiving strong coverage and positive press.
Beginning with Yemanjá Music Project’s third year association with the Mercadão de Madureira and its return to the beautiful Copacabana Beach, over 1000 VIPs, including international and local celebrities danced to the rhythms of Yemanja Music Projects invited performing artists, international Dj’s Erick Paredes and Dudu Dub, Agape featuring Nadia Harris, Orquestra Alabe Funfun, Filhos de Gandi, Raices Africanas among them an incredible performance by Companhia Étnica directed by Carmen Luz.

Our New Years Party held at Claude de Amaral’s triplex penthouse, featured as the most spectacular venue for New Years was the talk of the town over 300 of the most beautiful international guest danced their way into 2007. DJ Erick Paredes, Dudu dub and Agape’s Nadia Harris left an incredible imprint in Rio’s music scene. Champagne and Cachaça and all other spirits flowed the night through.
